Horripilant Releases February 13th 2026!

If you haven't partaken in our previous events, this is how it works:

*   There's a global experience boost that starts at 2% and goes up to a maximum of 20%
*   The event has a temporary currency, presents, which can be bought with either gold or from the game shop. You can also find it from opening chests and killing bosses in The Valley of Gods
*   Presents can be donated to the communal present supply. As we reach new present thresholds, the global experience boost rises
*   Received bonus experience isn't directly credited to you - instead, it's added to the event's experience bank which can be accessed from the Christmas event popup. Bonus experience can be claimed at any time and if you have any unclaimed experience after the event has ended, it'll be automatically credited to you on your next login
*   When the event time runs out, presents can no longer be donated and the supply will start decreasing at a steady rate - either 50M or 1% of the current supply per hour, whichever is higher. You'll continue receiving bonus experience until the supply has fully drained out

As usual, at the end of the event, the top 30 donors will be eligible for the @2025 Christmas benefactor role on our Discord server.

*   Added zoom in/out functionality using the mouse wheel, allowing you to view the overall layout more easily.
*   Improved the Sector Mode result screen so that resource icons are displayed in colors matching their resource types.
*   Expanded the interaction areas of the Overclock / Dummy Target mode entry buttons to improve usability.
*   During the tutorial, the screen now automatically scrolls to clearly show the area being explained.

*   Fixed an issue where the character moved abnormally when playing Benchmark Mode in windowed mode.
*   Improved the movement behavior when being pushed by Breakpoints in Benchmark Mode to appear more natural.

*   Fixed an issue where Extra Rewards were not applied when dying from lasers in Benchmark Mode.
*   Fixed an issue where the accumulated resource values in the top-left corner changed upon death/clear in Sector Mode.

Quality-of-Life Improvements & Bug Fixes

### Additions:

- The automation condition popup has been tweaked, including a new option to use it as a counter rather than a comparison.

- Added the expected rent, interest and wages to the money counter on the desktop, so you can easily see how much you'll need at the end of the week. NOTE: This is an EXPECTED value based on what the hero would earn at the end of the week at that moment, and thus can be more than what it really is.

**New Missions:**

- Sir Rent-A-Lot. Guild starts off with a huge amount of free item storage space, but charges the guild a small fee for every filled slot. Win by building a guild with 4000 guild rating.

- Pleasant Palace. Every available service stays in your guild for free, all the time. The guild is charged a fee weekly for every slot on the Raider's Digest awards below 8\. Make $25000 to win.

### Other Changes:

- Dropping a tattered map onto a start raid popup now adjusts the level of the raid to the average level of the heroes in the raid.

- The automatic prep button on the start raid popup now tries to select heroes in upcoming shifts.

- The caterer will now create less potions when the item storage has a lot of potions.

- Indicators for dropping items and heroes on a popup now only show up if they're the highest priority popup.

- You can now use the scroll wheel to move the dropdown position.

- Hovering over hero portraits while raiding now shows their inventory and cooldowns.

- Boss chances are now boosted significantly in an order of completion. Bull Shark -> Gladius -> Major Mimic -> Hurricane -> Twin Snakes -> Void Cultists

### Balance:

- Increased the experience gained from 0 star raids.

- Reduced the amount of items heroes can get at the end of raids.

- The "holy" effect now lasts much longer but is weaker.

- Reduced the price of normal relics again.

- Reduced the stats of Pillars and Rugs.

- Last Respects can now drop from high level orders.

### Bug Fixes:

- Previously, the interior designer would sell the wrong items.

- Turns out, all this time, services were never charging the daily fee. This has been fixed.

- The Bodyguard is now clamped at level 20, with a good enough room he could get to 21 before.

- A large amount of guide entries were not correct and have been fixed.

First of all, a big thank you to everyone who purchased and played the game on our launch yesterday, it means the world to us to see so many of you enjoying what we've made.

Outhold managed to make it into the New & Trending tab on the Steam front page, and surpassed 1,000 concurrent players. **This is absolutely huge!**

Now, there has unfortunately been a bug that has been affecting a number of you who have been transferring over the save from the demo version, resulting in progress being lost partially. We've been able to track down and fix the issue now, but we fully understand how much it sucks to have your progress erased like this. If you've run into the issue, please reach out to us at [support@tellusgames.com](https://support@tellusgames.com) with your save file, and we'll **generate a fixed version for you that should restore your progress**. The save file can be found here:

## Demo Update

*But wait, there is even more news!*

We believe that a demo should closely resemble the quality of the full game. For that reason we have not only added **every single quality of life feature** from the main game to the demo version aswell, but also added the **new hat machines to the demo version!** So you can now already unlock some hats and have your dudes look cool no matter what version you play!

*BUT WAIT WAIT, THERE IS EVEN MORE NEWS!*

We have also added achievements to the demo version!

AND ALSO - we made sure to integrate your save file from the demo fluently into the full version. **If you buy the full version, you can just continue from where you left off** (you just have to re-assign the points in your skill tree).

> *However, please note that **we recommend resetting your progress** in the full release nonetheless - to have superior experience of the game. The early game in the full game is significantly different and (in our opinion) way more interesting than in the demo. If you've already grinded up an insane amount of money in the demo you may accidentally skip a lot of fun content from the full game.*

Here is a little change log of what exactly has been changed in the demo version:

* Improved several animations, graphics and icons in the game
* Added new configuration options to the tactics tab
* Improved tooltips by adding more explanations, as well as have keywords be accompanied by icons
* Added skull tokens and two hat machines
* Added a hat management tab in the right sidebar to equip and unequip hats
* Reworked the achievements tab
* Integrated steam achievements to the demo
* Added upgrade to flip silver coins by hovering
* Added upgrade to flip gold coins by hovering
* Added option to hold CTRL to mass-purchase from the shop
* Upgraded the Godot version to improve stability on linux operating systems
* Added a speed scale accessibility option to the options menu

Gamblers Table

Release Announcement & Demo Update

It's looking like Skeleseller will launch in March of 2026, which just gives us another few months to get ready. We're still working hard to make sure everything is perfect!

People have responded very well to the demo. ~8600 people played with a median playtime of exactly two hours. 🎉 Thank you all so much!

Unfortunately, giving away two hours of the game for free is a tough sell given that the game won't be super long at launch (~10 hours in total). As a result, the biggest change in this patch is that the demo has been pruned down to about ~30 minutes of playtime.

Other changes:

*   Added controller support. You can control most of the game through a virtual mouse cursor now.
*   Allowed remapping keybindings (and controller bindings).
*   Workers will now reserve items on the ground or in the warehouse so that multiple workers don't try to pursue the same item.
*   Workers now have a small chance to prioritize harvesting above their other actions. They could always harvest before this, but only as a final priority.
*   Rearranged targets in the Quick Move Menu to optimize for the default hotkeys on the keyboard.
*   Bosses now occupy regular locations and will show on the battle map before you've beaten them.
*   We now automatically select the adventurer to hire when there's only one option. This had confused several players before this change (sorry! 😢).
*   We set up for localization. The game now supports 8 languages other than English. The only problem is that we've only got translations for a tiny bit of French so far. 👀
*   Rebalanced some adventurers and skills.

Skeleseller

Getting ready for launch (v0.8.10 patch notes)

**TLDR:** About to hit R2 or R4? Wait for patch unless you play rather actively and enjoy Reinforcing.

The next patch contains the big rebalance AND **Spacemas**. No new sector based content.

### When?

Sometime around the end of next week/weekend.

### What Will the Rebalance Do?

If you are anywhere between R1 and Sector 130 quite a bit changes. 130+ will be a little different but less so.

### R1-R5

This section is being squashed to 3 reinforces instead of 5\. Instead of 80, 85, 90, 95, 100 it is now 80, 90, 100\. The reinforces will take slightly longer than their direct counterpart but there are only 3\. The upgrades have been condensed into just 3 sets instead of 5, but they have the same total power. You can roughly think of it like this:

*   R1 = R1 + part of R2
*   R2 = Rest of R2 + R3 + part of R4
*   R3 = Rest of R4 + R5

**Here is what to expect depending on which Reinforce you are on:**

*   R1: Still on R1, slight stat gain
*   R2: Set to R1, slight stat loss
*   R3: Set to R2, slight stat gain
*   R4: Set to R2, slight stat loss
*   R5+: Set to R3

As you can see, _current R2 and R4 are going to be redundant_, so if you are ABOUT to start those, you will be better off waiting for the patch unless you play very actively/optimally. If you do end up being converted over from R2 or R4 you'll get a couple time skips to ease the pain a little in addition to Spacemas.

### R5/Sector 100+

The changes here are far more varied so you could end up with notably different stats in some cases. Fleet Artifact upgrades no longer require reinforce, their total effect has been reduced and that power has been put in a whole new set of Reinforce upgrades spread from sector 101 to 129.

**What happens:**

*   You will get Reinforce upgrades based on the highest sector you Reinforced at.
*   Any maxed galaxies will stay maxed.
*   Artifact upgrades in the galaxy you are progressing will shuffle around a bit and you may have a little more or less artifacts depending on the specifics.
*   You may end up with slightly wonky artifact upgrades states.

Unlike R1-R5, there is no reason to pause reinforces until patch or anything like that.

### New Ascension Ability!

I received feedback about late-game fishing capping out on sell speeds. Although this was intended as I think it's cool to be able to max a feature and not bother with it, it also led to some early limits for say auto-sell speed and inventory slots that might've made it difficult to automate.

I also ended up giving it an extra upgrade as well, so it has been added as a new ascension ability. For now it will be in **experimental mode** with no new unlock conditions for testing, and will release to the official version at a later time.

*   Fix experimental mode's pants' "%HP per second" heal not working
*   Fix text overflow in 'Sell all fish' button

*   Added a Dismantling menu, where you can break down gear for materials for a cost (unlocked at Workshop level 2)
